Nemesis has finally caught up with members of a deadly cult gang that killed three students of the Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU) with two of the victims beheaded on March 12, 2016. Four cult members that participated in the evil mission were yesterday paraded by the Department of State Services (DSS) after two months of “painstaking investigation” that led to their arrest. The state Director of DSS, Mr. Korede Kamoju, who paraded the suspects at government house Umuahia, said  the suspects were members of the Burkina Faso cult group, who “ planned and executed the deadly operation ” at Chido Lodge, an off campus hostel where their victims resided. The paraded suspects included Chikezie MacDonald (a.k.a Walking Dutch), 22; Chidozie Obi (a.k.a Small Boy), 21; Chukwuemeka Awom (a.k.a Archangel), 25; and Chigozie Francis Eberendu (a.k.a Star Boy), 23. Troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army involved in Operation SHARAN DAJI, along with other security agencies, today ambushed suspected armed bandits that wreck havoc on some communities in Kubau Local Government Area, Kaduna State. At the ambush, the troops were able to kill 3 notorious armed bandits, recovered 3 Locally Made Pistols, 1 Dane Gun 1 J5 Bus with registration number KMC 33 YE KANO and a Driving License. Similarly, today also, the troops conducted a clearing operation around Kurmin Dande in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. During the clearance, they arrested 1 suspected cattle rustler who is undergoing interrogation. The troops have also intensified patrols at Madachi general area in Katsina State. In addition, they have been meeting with heads of the local vigilantes within the 10 Local Government Areas in the State where cattle rustling and armed banditry seems prevalent in order to synergize efforts.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four workers of a construction company for allegedly abducting their Chinese boss, Hang Kumming, in the Ajah area of the state. Punch Metro learnt that Kumming, who works in GMC Construction Company, Ajah, was abducted at about 5am on Sunday. It was learnt that the expatriate was returning home from work, when a seven-man gang of gunmen attacked him, beat up his driver and whisked him away in a car. PUNCH Metro gathered that the case was reported at the Area J Police Command, Ajah, and thereafter transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja. Police operatives on Tuesday were reported to have arrested the four workers – Amos Loko, Adebowale Johnson, Oluwadare Segun and Videgnonz Taiye. Octavia Rogers, 29, allegedly murdered and partially dismembered Jaikare Rahaman, eight, Jeremiah Adams, five, and two-month-old Avery Robinson. Rogers, who was identified by her mother, killed the children before stuffing them inside a closet and a suitcase, Phoenix Police Sergeant Trent Crump said. Police say the 29-year-old mother to the three boys stabbed herself in the neck and abdomen, claiming she was pregnant. She is in a critical condition in hospital but is expected to survive. The children's grandmother, Tanella McCoy, said Rogers was a 'good mother' and did not appear to be having any problems with her children. 'I don’t know what to feel right now. I don’t know where to go, I don’t know where to turn,' Ms McCoy told The Arizona Republic.
