Veteran Yoruba Actress,   Motunrayo Adeoye   has passed away in Ibadan, Oyo State. According to reports, the talented actress died this morning June 1st after battling chronic ulcer for many years and she will be buried today at her residence located at Akobo Ojurin, Ibadan Oyo State today according to Islamic rite.     In her life time, Madam Adeoye was a well-known name in Nollywood. She was among the 10 most featured Veteran Yoruba actresses in the industry. She was a niece to a top class traditional ruler in Yoruba Land,   Oba Lamidi Adeyemi , The Alafin of Oyo, Oyo State. She graduated from Osogbo Technical College, Osun State where she studied Electronics before she later went to Switzerland for a 7 months course to acquire more knowledge about the profession. A 4-year-old pupil of a private school in Minna, Niger state, has pointed out the man who allegedly molested her in school. The child identified 19-year-old Victor Opute as her molester on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Punch reports that Opute lured the little girl to the school toilet where he sexually molested her. School authorities were made aware of the incident when the child was seen crying. Upon questioning, she narrated what happened to one of the officials of the school. Subsequently, the school officials then assembled all the male staff so the child can point out her abuser.  Out of the 19 male staff paraded, the child identified Opute as her abuser. Afterward, the child was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the suspect was handed over to the officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. Opute did not deny the allegation, rather he blamed his action on the devil.

An 8-year-old girl fell while playing and hit her head on the concrete at their home in Lagos Island. This caused blood to accumulate in her head, but for days her father refused to take her to the hospital for the most ridiculous reason. According to the father, he couldn't join others who wanted to take his daughter Rebecca to the hospital days after the injury because it is a woman's duty to take the child to the hospital, not a man's. The Inspector of General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has urged the Federal High Court in Abuja to declare as unconstitutional, the Senate’s insistence that he must appear for a legislative hearing in person.   He insisted in his suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/457/2018 and filed on April 30, 2018, that his personal appearance before the Senate was unnecessary because the issues for which he was invited were not personal. The IGP, through his lawyer, Alex Izinyon (SAN), who filed the suit on his behalf, joined the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as defendants in his suit.   He noted that if he was to personally honour every invitation sent to the office of the IGP, there would be no time to attend to his main responsibilities. The Senate had in a letter dated April 25, 2018, invited the IGP to appear before it in relation to the purported inhuman treatment of Senator Dino Melaye and the killings in many parts of the count

On Thursday evening,  Kanye West  held his private listening party for his eighth solo studio album  'Ye ' at a Wyoming ranch. A 19-year-old man has been arrested by the Niger state police command for allegedly selling his 6-year-old brother to a ritual killer for N20,000. Aliyu Basala Yakutchi confessed to having sold his younger brother, Yamusa Ibrahim Yakutchi, to 30-year-old Legbo in order to raise money to pay his wife’s bride price, New Telegraph reports. Legbo is currently at large, according to police. Aliyu, who claimed to be the third of his mother’s six children, said that he sold his brother on credit. Unaware of the gravity of his offense, he pleaded with the police to release him unconditionally so that he could go and tend to his farm.  He said: I decided to sell my younger brother for N20,000 on credit so that I can raise money to pay for the bride price of my 14-year-old lover.  I took my younger brother, Yamusa, to Malam Legbo for money rituals because he promised to pay me N20,000 if he succeeded in using him for money rituals. Three truckloads of ammunition were on Wednesday intercepted at Balogun village, along the Igbogila-Ilara Road, Ogun State.   The General Officer Commanding, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. Enobong Udoh, during a press briefing on Thursday said the trucks, with the number plates –ANAMBRA AAH 409 ZV, LAGOS BDG 782 XU, and LAGOS GGF 88 XU – were intercepted around 10.05am. According to him, the recovery followed an intelligence report from some well-meaning Nigerians. He said troops of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, intercepted the consignment, adding that the destination was still unknown.   He said, “The live cartridges, packed in boxes and cartons, were carefully sealed inside a concealed compartment constructed underneath the trucks. Yesterday, a teacher in Ikorodu stabbed her husband to death while he was beating her at their home. The teacher, Mrs Akinbobola Olamide, in a video that went viral, narrated in Yoruba dialect how her deceased husband had subjected her to domestic and mental torture since they got married and that her neighbors can testify to the fact that he was always abusing her. She said she picked up a knife to scare him away while he was beating her yesterday but she mistakenly stabbed him, leading to his death. A Final year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Benin has died just one semester to his  graduation. Omoregbe Enoma Best reportedly died in his sleep on Monday May 28th. He was said to have been hale and hearty when he went to bed on May 28th. Sadly, by the morning of May 29th, he did not wake up. A Russian model was yesterday detained for two months after allegations she offered sex to two policemen in return for not prosecuting her for driving without a license. Kira Mayer, 24, was driving her Mercedes in Moscow when two police officers stopped her during a ban for a previous offence. She exploded in rage and attacked the officers, "causing physical injury" to them. After her violent attack, the Instagram star offered them sex "solo or duet" in an attempt to avoid charges, say sources cited by Komsomolskaya Pravda. But the policemen declined her offer and detained her, say reports.
