  A police inspector was killed by a herdsman in Bagudo local government area of Kebbi state yesterday July 11th. According to reports, a farmer had reported the herdsman to the police officers at Kaoje police station in the local government. The farmer accused the herdsman of bringing his cows into his farm to feed and destroy his crops. A police officer was ordered to go and arrest the herder who was still wandering with his cattle within the area. The Police officer who came with his riffle, arrested the suspect but as he was taking him to the waiting patrol vehicle,the herdsman drew his machete and stabbed the officer in his neck. The officer bled to death. Confirming the incident, the police public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Mustapha Suleiman, said the hersman has been arrested and has also confessed to the crime.

A married woman was allegedly caught having sex with her ex, who is also a married man, and they were stripped and humiliated in their community in Enugu. The incident happened yesterday in Amokwe village, in Oduma, Aninri local government area, Enugu state. According to reports, the married man left his village and journeyed to Amokwe to meet with his ex who is now a married woman. But neighbours alerted the woman a's husband and the couple were caught having sex in the woman's matrimonial home. The infidelity angered the woman's husband who then tried to cut off his rival's penis but was held back by locals. The woman and her lover were then stripped, beaten, and paraded by community leaders who said this is the first time such an abomination will be happening in the community. The married man was also made to walk about with wedding photos of his married lover hanging from his neck.

  The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria on Wednesday described the rejection of ranches by South-East governors as shocking and lack of discretion. The South-East leader of the group, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, stated this in a press statement in Anambra State saying the group least expected such decision from the Igbo who he described as “the major bonding elements among the people of Nigeria.” He added, “ It was surprising to us considering the cordial relationship that had existed in the zone between us and the state governments.” Siddiki said Miyetti Allah had never failed to appreciate the commitment of the host governors in ensuring the safety of his members. The South-East Governors’ Forum had at a meeting in Enugu on Sunday unanimously agreed not to donate land for ranching in the zone.   The 41-year-old man, who already has two wives and married an 11-year-old girl as his third (read here ), has been fined by a Muslim court but he was allowed to keep his child bride. The court fined Che Abdul Karim Che Hamid because he didn’t ask for permission. He reportedly married the girl without the approval of the syariah (sharia) court or his current two spouses. Che Abdul Karim pleaded guilty at the Gua Musang syariah court in north-western Malaysia and was fined 900 Malaysian ringgits (RN) or £170 for each charge. Meanwhile, no urine was actually used in the filming of the video. In the footage posted by TMZ, the 57-year-old comedian used his water bottle to fake-pee on Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The body of a young boy found yesterday hanging from an uncompleted building in Cross River state has left people horrified. The body was found in a building at Adiabo Ikot Mbo, Cross River State. According to reports, the dangling body was discovered by neighbours who then raised alarm. It is suspected he committed suicide but some have also pointed out the possibility that it could be a murder which is being covered up as suicide. An investigation has reportedly commenced into his death.

Following the service at Westminster Abbey, the Queen will present a new Queen's Colour to the RAF along with her son Prince Charles in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace, before she makes a brief speech.
