A mother was left troubled after her son began hating his skin colour and decided to make himself become white. Alison told BBC that her son Leon, 4, had told her he doesn't want to be brown anymore but prefers to be white. He begged his mother to have his face sprayed white. Then, when he was at a friend's house, he covered his face in white nappy cream to make himself white. Alison’s friend took a picture of Leon covered in Sudocrem because she thought it was funny and she showed the picture to the boy's mother. This bothered Alison so she had a conversation about identity with her son. Alison told the BBC: "I was tucking him in one night and he asked me 'mum can you spray my face white?' I asked him 'why would you want me to spray your face white?', and he said, 'well I don’t want to be brown anymore.' Rapper 03 Greedo, who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, proposed to his longtime girlfriend at his concert on Monday night, hours before he left for prison. And she said yes! Greedo gave his final performance before heading out for jail at a packed house at Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. While performing his hit, "If I", the rapper got down on bended knee and popped the question to the amazement of those in the crowd. And when Kei Bradley said "yes", the crowd had a pretty epic reaction. Greedo proposed to his girlfriend less than 48 hours before his prison bid was to begin and she was well aware of the number of years he'll be doing in jail before she accepted the proposal.   24 hours after fire outbreak ravaged 100 lock-up shops in Akure, the Ondo State capital, two siblings were roasted to death by another mysterious fire that gutted their home located at Edo Lodge in the metropolis. The siblings, two-year-old ltunu and four-year-old Damilare Omolere, were left in the care of their 11-year-old elder sister, while their parents went out. While their father, Bode, travelled out of the state, their mother, Blessing, was equally not at home on the sad day. The eldest child equally left the toddlers alone in the house only to return later to find the house engulfed in flames. Sources said the fire may have been caused by a candle that was left on the table by their sister before she left the house.   A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of a parcel of land in Lekki, Lagos State, linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, to the Federal government. The land  valued at N325.4 million, is located at Plot 13, Block II, Oniru Chieftaincy Private Family Estate. Justice Babs Kuewumi made the order for the forfeiture yesterday June 27th following an ex-parte application by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) counsel, Mr. Anslem Ozioko. Ozioko told the judge that the land was suspected to have been acquired with proceeds of crime. He told the court that the land was discovered while the antigraft agency was investigating an ally of the former minister, Donald Amamgbo. Justice Kuewumi also directed the anti-graft agency to publish the temporary forfeiture order in a national daily to put interested parties on notice. He adjourned till July 14, for anyone in...

  Reno Omokri tweeted this in reaction to the faceoff former Education minister, Oby Ezekwesili, had with security agents at the state house yesterday during her solo match against the repeated killings in many parts of the country. Ezekwesili was heading to the state house to demand immediate action of the president to stop the killings and bloodletting when she was accosted by security agents who attempted to seize her placard.   A Nigerian mother has shared her plan to prevent her kids from getting addicted to video games and tablets this holiday and it's absolutely brilliant. Samiah Oyekan-Ahmed wrote a binding document for her son to sign ahead of the holiday period. The document is a list of rules which regulate screen time, game time, and even the amount of snacks that can be eaten during this holiday. Included in the document are conditions that have to be met before her kids can enjoy these holiday benefits. She also listed consequences to be faced if the rules are flouted and also alternative ways her kids could engage themselves.
