  Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, says PDP will do everything possible to ensure they take over power from APC come 2019. Governor Wike who is a chieftain of the party, said this after a closed-door meeting with the party’s presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, shortly after the presidential primaries which held in Port Harcourt, the state capital yesterday Sunday, October 7th. “All PDP people are happy. We are one family, you may support aspirant A or aspirant B but once somebody has emerged, you owe it a duty to make sure that your party returns to power. So, we are doing everything we can to make sure that we don’t give any gap for APC. They have failed Nigerians and we will do everything to take over in 2019,” he said.

  In an open letter posted on social media this morning, Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie, came hard on the president of the Christain Association of Nigeria CAN, Reverend Samson Ayokunle. In her letter, Onochie said the CAN president through his comments, have shown he does not speak for Jesus. She berated the leader of the Christian body for attacking appointments made by President Buhari. According to her, Ayokunle has repeated accused President Buhari of always appointing Muslims, which accoridng to her is False. Onochie in her letter said Ayokunle feeds off tithes and offerings given to him from people who worked in the Goodluck Jonathan administration. Chidiogo Akunyili, the daughter of late Dora Akunyili, and her Canadian husband Andrew Parr held another wedding abroad months after their Nigerian wedding. The couple who had their traditional wedding (read here ) and white wedding (read here ) in Agulu, Anambra, Nigeria, in June, had another wedding at the scenic Bark Lake Leadership Centre in Canada. The ceremony was an intimate affair organised outdoors in a setting that looked like an ancient Igbo village square meeting. There was a fire in the middle while wedding guests sat around it. The bride and groom walked in to a melodious Igbo love song reminiscent of the types sung in Nollywood movies. The couple went around to greet their guests and the high point was watching the bride's father hug her, wipe her face with a handkerchief then hug her again.   Kano state government says it has discovered the sum of over $1 million allegedly paid by former governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to a University in Ukraine where no Kano state student was studying. According to The Nation, the senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Higher Education, Dr. Hussaini Akilu Jarma, made the disclosure during the inauguration of the State Scholarship Disbursement Committee yesterday August 14th. Jarma said the questionable payment was made by Kwankwaso as part of his foreign scholarship programme. A young man has been left heartbroken after his girlfriend broke up with him because he's not good looking enough for her. The man, known on Twitter as @Andresarroyo08 took to his page to share chat conversation with his now ex-girlfriend explaining to him that she can't continue with the relationship because he's bad for her appearance. But unknown to the lady, he had bought her an Iphone 7+ as a surprise gift so that they can have matching phones.   The Federal Government has distanced itself from the calls for Senate President Bukola Saraki to resign or be impeached following his defection from APC to PDP. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said this during a visit to Blueprints Newspaper in Abuja yesterday. According to Lai, the call for Saraki's removal was purely a party affair and that the government had no hand in it. He however pointed out that the party's call for Saraki's removal was legitimate.
