Shitta Progressives Football Association

Over the past 6 weeks, the core of Surulere has been engrossed with the carnival-like atmosphere, thrills and frills at the on-going “D Special 1” Football / Talent Discovery Tournament. 24 teams from the nooks and crannies of Surulere partook in the competition with the ultimate aim of being the last team standing.


The Men have now been completely separated from the Boys. The Final Match of the 5th Edition of “The Bi-Annual “D Special 1” Football Tournament is set to hold on Sunday, May 22, 2015 from 5pm.

The primary objective of the sponsor (SIMPLY KNOWN AS “D SPECIAL 1”), apart from being his own way of giving back to the society,  (that has insisted on remaining anonymous from the inception) is to use to platform to reignite the passion for sports (especially football) in youths in Surulere. It is also a platform to bring youths together to bond in a fun environment and move away from social vices.


Schedule of the day’s activities are;

Ladies Final: Asho Girls VS Olori Odan Ladies: 3:30PM

Novelty Match: Persons with Physical Challenges: Physically Challenge Footballers: 4:30PM

Match of the Day: Men’s Final: Special FC VS Allahu Nuur FC: 5pm

Venue: ALAPAFUJA 3 ASIDE FOOTBALL FIELD SHITTA

A woman was lucky to escape alive from a ritualist den after the chief priest rejected her, and she has narrated how she watched others get killed after they all boarded a bus together only to find themselves in a forest later. The woman boarded the bus last Friday in Benin, Edo state, with other passengers, but they were taken to a forest at upper Ekhehuan for ritual purposes. She told of how she watched them slaughter the only other female passenger who boarded the bus with them. Next, they slaughtered two male passengers. Heartbreaking Photos Of Man Killed On The Spot After Fatal Bike Accident In Akwa Ibom

This is the scene of an accident which killed a man in Akwa Ibom. The man reportedly died on the spot after being involved in an accident with his motorcycle at Atabong roundabout in Eket, Akwa Ibom state. The man’s head was crushed in the in the accident as he bled to death. These graphic photos show the man lying In the pool of his blood on the road. The accident caused a huge scene in the area before the arrival of officials who arrived to evacuate the corpse.
